Come and visit Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival to make yourselves alive in January. If you feel like there’s nothing new with your life at the very beginning of the new year, want to seek new adventures, or even just want to have fun, here is the best place to begin. And break through the ice in winter. From January 13th to 14th of 2023, Cambridge will be a celebration. And there will be many foods, fun activities, and games for everyone who visits the festival. The featured events are ice sculpturing and master ice carver demonstrations. Interactive ice games, raw oyster bar, ice bars with craft beer and creative cocktails, fire pits and s’mores stations, and a shucking and slurping contest. And, of course, there will be live music at two locations.
Think of it again Cambridge delicacies, ice sculptures, fun activities, and live music it will be like heaven.
Those ice carvers at Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival will use more than 50 000 pounds of ice to carve the imagery that reflects the Heart of the Chesapeake. Not only that, there will be many ice sculptures, including Chessies the Sea Monster, mallards and wild geese in flight, a deadrise boat with oysters, skipjack, entered deer, terrapin, rockfish, and more.
Do you think Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival only features ice cravings? No, there will also be popular ice games; corn hole, putt-putt golf, and tic tac toe are some of them. Children of all ages can try their skills at popular games. And we would like to remind you about family photo opportunities that are also craved in ice. They will be a polar lounge, giant throne, and duck hunting blind.
The event is filled with proud Eastern shore culture and mesmerizing ice sculptures you can’t find anywhere. Not only that, the Cambridge ice and oyster festival will represent the local wildlife as well. No need to have second thoughts because the celebration will be a blast.
The icy zone of the event is a place to have fun with your family. Entertain your family with ice slides, thrones, and games; the game zone will be safe and kid-friendly.
Taste oysters from six oyster vendors and try some local and imported beer and wine. While tasting your favorite oysters go on a walk at Cannery way and enjoy the cozy breeze.
If you feel like it’s not enough, explore the fantastic ice bar with tasty drinks and make your selves warm inside out.
It’s essential to talk about food since it is an oyster festival; whether you are an oyster lover or another seafood lover, Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival is filled with any type of food, including crab, rockfish, and more-fresh from our local waters. This Eastern shore is filled with hospitality.
This is the best opportunity to see the most incredible ice demonstrations of all time of the best ice carvers. Even though the event consists of many cold things, we know that you love to stay warm, so there will be fire pits on the festival grounds to keep your hands warm. Gather around fire pits with your family and friends and get warm while listening to stories from each other.
Hold on, and there’s more “the first-ever oyster shucking and slurping relay competition” you can come and watch it, cheer the competitors, or participate in the competition.
