Join us for the 11-day Oyster Celebration in Queen of the Carolina. Beaufort’s 3rd annual oyster festival is scheduled to be held from January 12th to 22nd of 2023. The whole festival ground will be filled with area business, agritourism, eco-cultural business agencies, and non-profitable organization throughout the festival week and share educational, artistic, oystering programs and many more to share with the visitors of the 2023 Beaufort Oyster Festival

The Beaufort Oyster Festival is more important and significant than the other oyster celebrations worldwide. It is not only about food and music. The festival consists of a more valuable event on Saturday, the 11th of 2023.

Start | Finish Freedom Mall down Bay Street, cross Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady’s Island down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive and double back the same route to Freedom Mall. 

The 5K Oyster Boogie is a great way to start your new year, 2023. Participate and make memories with the 2nd annual Oyster Boogies. The event is organized as a part of 2023’s Beaufort Oyster festival happening at Henry C Chambers Waterfront Park in Downtown Beaufort, SC.

This 5K oyster Boogie Supports the local Riverview Chater School Stingrays. For people who love to exercise and be active, this is a great opportunity, and it will give you an energetic start to your new year.

The 5K race is scheduled to start on Saturday morning, January 21st, at 8.00 AM from Bay St and Neaxastle streets, Downtown Beaufort. People who wish to participate in the event have to join the Beaufort Area Hospitality Association and Riverview Charter School for a USATF-certified 5k race on Saturday Morning before the race starts.

The race will run through Historic Downtown Beaufort and through the Woods Memorial Bridge along the view of the magnificent Beaufort River. The 5K race is a certified course. And the 5k oyster Boogie is managed and supported by Grounded Running.

Additional Information

  • The event is dog friendly, so you can bring your dog to the event. And please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lea.
  • Bicycles are not allowed.
  • The 5K course starts and finishes line is at Freedom Park, down Bay Street across Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady’s Island, down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive, and back again on the same route to Freedom Park.

  • The overall first place of the 5K run Male and Female:-Cash Price of $100.00
  • The overall second place in the 5K run male and female:-Cash price of $75.00
  • The overall third place in the 5K run Male and female:- Cash Price of $50.00

You can pick up your packet, including the T-shirt, at Grounded Running located at 2139 Boundary Street, Ste 108, Beaufort, SC 29902, on Friday, January 20, from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. we will not guarantee fr the T-shirt sizes for the registrations after 1/13/2023, 3.00 PM.
