Over the years, Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest has been a hands-on community project which raises awareness about Martha’s Vineyard oysters and local fishers who are engaged in sustainable cultivation and harvesting.

A portion of the proceeds from this oyster festival contributes to the oyster habitat restoration and oyster shell recycling program initiated by the Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Groups.

Further, it funds the Martha’s Vineyard Fisherman Preservation Trust to enforce its mission of safeguarding the island’s fishing heritage and its longevity. Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest is in an attempt to be a zero-waste event so there are no worries about your environmental footprint.
