A portion of the proceeds from this oyster festival contributes to the oyster habitat restoration and oyster shell recycling program initiated by the Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Groups.
Further, it funds the Martha’s Vineyard Fisherman Preservation Trust to enforce its mission of safeguarding the island’s fishing heritage and its longevity. Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest is in an attempt to be a zero-waste event so there are no worries about your environmental footprint.

The Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest was started with a mission and event at present this festival aims to promote local, regional, and national awareness on Martha’s Vineyard and Massachusetts oyster cultivation and native fish profiles as a long term endeavor.
It was founded by Nevette Previd of Farm.Field.Sea., the Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Group (MVSG), and John Clift of the MV Wine Festival and purveyor of Vintage MV Wine & Spirits and 19 Raw,
Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Festival is a collaboration of local oyster farmers, who are well into the beverage industry and the best chefs of the locality with extraordinary culinary skills.
Thus, this festival attracts fun and a fantastic flow of crows who has a deep core love for shell trapped delight from the sea, the oysters, and beverages.
More than just another oyster festival, Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Festival is a closely woven bond between culture, food, wine, education, and music.
They are committed to offering you an unforgettable experience of fun as well as a deeper understanding of this ever-loved seafood, oysters including their incredibility as a culinary delight, its health benefits.

Rates for the “Weekend Package”
Price- $225
Duration– Oct 1st and Oct 2nd
Ticket includes:
VIP entry to Friday – Oct.1st ‘Conversation With’
VIP entry to Saturday – Oct 2 ‘VIP: Beyond the Raw Bar,’ and the main event ‘The Tasting’ (noon-6pm)
Admission to all the other events is not included in this ticket and will have to be purchased separately.
Please consider that Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest is organized for people over 21 years of age. Do not forget to take your ID with you as it will be checked at the entrance and you must produce your ID to drink alcoholic beverages at the festival.

4. Parking
No guest parking will be made available at the MV Museum. The participants can also park locally, or park at the host Tisbury Wharf, 158 Beach Road., which is next to Mone Insurance. It will be an 8-minute walk to the museum and shuttles will be available on the days of the festival.
The organizing committee does not recommend driving your private vehicles to the festival. It is advised to consider an alternate way of transportation such as VTA Bus, Uber, and taxi. If not, have your friend or mom drop and pick you because driving is not safe after alcohol consumption!
