Beer will be poured by volunteers from Revolution Bicycles and Fit Nor Cal on H Street between 8th and 9th, from Edward Jones on 8th Street across from Mazzotti’s, and from the Humboldt Roller Derby Team on the corner of 8th and G Street. The Humboldt Wine Association will be pouring some wonderful wines at the 2014 Oyster Festival. Drop by their booth located on G Street and have a glass of vino from one of our many local vineyards and wineries.

Beer and wine are available throughout the festival, from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tokens and wristbands are required to purchase any beer or wine. Get your tokens at the token booths near the festival entrances on G and H Streets. Tokens are $6 each, or $5 when purchased at the time you purchase your wristband.

SHUCK N’ SWALLOW CONTEST
As we’ve done for years past, The Point’s Shuck And Swallow Contest takes center stage at 12:00pm. Think you’ve got what it takes to shuck or swallow yourself into infamy? We are looking for our 2014 teams – consisting of one professional shucker and one helluva swallower. Teams are created on a first come first served basis. If you are interested in creating a team email us at [email protected] OR call us at 786-5978. Each team is responsible for their own shucking equipment, and will be given dozens of oysters to shuck and swallow as fast as humanly possible.
