June 20, 2015. 10am to 5:30pm - always the day before Father’s Day
LAST CALL for beer at 4pm. No more beer or wine sales after 4:30.

- The historic Arcata Plaza and side streets, between 7th & 10th Streets, and F & I Streets in downtown Arcata.

FESTIVAL FAQ
Does public transportation run near the festival site?
- Yes. The FREE Shucker Shuttle buses run every 10-15 minutes from Arcata High School (1720 M St., at the west end of 16th St.) and Humboldt State University (14th and Union) with drop offs at 10th & H St, and pickups at 10th & G St.. HTA (Humboldt Transit Authority/Redwood Transit) runs from Garberville to Willow Creek to Trinidad on Festival Day. See their schedule here. Where should I park?
- Parking is extremely limited near the Plaza during Oyster Fest, and parking lots like Safeway/CVS won’t be available to festival-goers. It’s best to park at HSU or Arcata High and take the Shucker Shuttle to 10th Street.
- Handicap parking will be provided at Bank Of America’s lot at F St. & 8th. To use this lot, you will need to have a handicapped license plate, placard or other state-issued identification
Will there be seating at the festival?
- The lawn and a few benches are all that will be available.
Is the festival wheelchair accessible?
- Yes. Wheelchair accessible restrooms will be available on the east side of Bank of America, and between H & I St, on 8th St.
What if I need medical attention at the festival?
- Emergency care and first aid will be provided at the Central Command Booth, in front of the Jacoby Storehouse at the corner of H St. & 8th Street. Patron Services / Watch Guards also have medical response training.
What if I become separated from my family?
- If you should become separated from your child please report the incident to the nearest Patron Services Watch Guard Member, police officer, or go to the Central Command Booth – corner 8th & H St. Found children will be brought to the Central Command Booth to wait for their parents. You may visit the Central Command Booth to obtain a wristband ID for your child to wear during the festival.
What are the festival rules?
- Alcohol may only be consumed in the cups provided (steel or our recyclable cups)
- All patrons are subject to search
- Arcata municipal code prohibits consumption of alcoholic beverages outside of the festival area.
- Must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol.
- You must wear an ID wristband to consume alcohol at the festival. $3 for each wristband.
- No alcohol may be brought in or out of the event.
- No ice chests.
- No animals other than approved service dogs are allowed in the festival.
- Arcata municipal code prohibits smoking on the Plaza and in downtown Arcata at all times.
- No weapons are allowed inside the event.
- Tokens are non-refundable.
- No Alcohol on Plaza After 5:00pm
- No glass bottles or any glass containers
- NO unauthorized vending, handbills, petitioning or solicitation
Where can I buy festival souvenirs?
- The Oyster Fest Gift Shop will be full of Oyster Fest merchandise, treasures from local stores and business, and FREE Festival Guides. Located in front of the Jacoby Storehouse next to the Central Command Booth; 8th & H Streets.
Will ATMs be available?
- There are several ATMs located near the festival. Here are a few:
- B/A, 8th St. and H St. (backdoor)
- Chase Bank - 7th and H St.
- US Bank - 10th and G St.
- Umpqua Bank - 11th and G St.
- Arcata Co-op - 8th and I St.
Where is the lost and found?
- Lost and Found will be at the Central Command Booth, in front of the Jacoby Storehouse at the corner of H St. & 8th St. After the festival, lost and found items are kept for up to 30 days. Can I vote for my favorite oysters?
- The Best Oyster will be determined by judges chosen in advance.

Can I vote for my favorite oysters?
- The Best Oyster Contest will be decided by a group of judges and will be announced on the main stage at about 1:45
